How to Apply Unocumented Functions

To apply an action, either double-click its pictogram in the Effects palette (fig. 1) or drag it on the document window. Please keep in mind that actions won't run unless an image is open in Photoshop Elements.

By default, all effects only appear in the palette as thumbnails. To see command names, you either hover the mouse pointer over thumbnails (fig. 3) or choose the "Show Names" option from the palette menu (fig. 2).

Tip. For easier access to the most used actions consider adding them to your "Favorites" palette
